I had the
privilege of getting to know Azeri through my friendship with
her trainer, Laura de Seroux. I have been around a lot of
horses, and a lot of good horses but Azeri was hands down, the
most outstanding horse I have known. She had the heart of a
warrior queen but the personality of a puppy dog. Though she was
lavished with attention, she could never get enough. She adored
people and would practically crawl into your lap. To have that
personality, and be one of the great race mares of all time was
an amazing and unforgettable combination. |
